Bonnie

Yes, she's a draft horse! And, she measures right at 19 hands. So, what is a draft horse doing on a foxtrotter farm? Well, other than making one of the best pony horses around, and providing a calm influence,
there is a market for Gaited Baroque Horses. These gentle crosses between a registered gaited stallion, and an approved draft mare, are in top demand for people wanting the size and the gait to boot. Our Lobo is currently registered in the Gaited Baroque Horse Registry (GBHA), and our other stallions are in the approval process
Bonnie is out of a european Brabant Belgian, and by an american Percheron. She is as gentle as a dog and as sweet and loving as can be. She adores children as well, and can be handled by the youngest child. She even watches where her feet go!
Bonnie is well broke to ride, having completed dressage level II, and is one of the most fun rides I've ever had. Just expect to come home with all the spiderwebs, and she'll be clearing every path for the riders behind!

Sadly, Bonnie lost her 2010 blue roan Friesian cross colt. It doesn't appear as if he ever took a breath. We're devastated, but nothing can change it. I tried for a Friesian cross, and now I'm going back to the original purpose for this mare. She will be bred to Joe Master in May for a 2011 Gaited Baroque foal.
