Katty Eyed Dun

We call her Kat.
Before everyone gets excited
about a grullo foxtrotter, I have
to tell you she's not a foxtrotter.
She's actually a Quarter Horse.
So, what am I doing with a QH?
Well, that's where my roots came
from, and every now and again, I
get the urge to dabble back in the
breed.  You know.....just to remind
my aching back why I like
foxtrotters.
Kat is by thw World Champion
Foundation QH Eyes Dun Up Silver.
She's only a yearling in these pictures,
so she will be developing into one heck
of a stout and gorgeous filly.  I wanted
a QH I could train for cutting, and she
is the stuff.  She's currently pastured
with my rescue holstein steer calf, and
she cuts him daily all on her own.  She's
fascinating to watch.  And, both of her
sire and dam are grullo.  So, she may be
homozygous for black and for dun .  It
really doesn't matter, as I doubt I'll be
off her long enough to breed her!
